Gloucester Folk Museum will be open for free public visits as part of Heritage Open Days.
A fine Tudor and Jacobean building, grade II* listed housing the first provincial folk museum. Protestant martyr, Bishop Hooper, said to have lodged here in the 16th century. Local history, crafts, trades and industries from 1500 to present. Regular special exhibitions, activities and events, children's activities, puppet theatre and hands on games and toys.
It is open from Thursday 9 September - Saturday 11 September: 1000 - 1700 and Sunday 12 September: 1100 - 1600.
