Gloucester Fireworks

The docks will be hosting the event from 18:00 to about 20:30 in Victoria Basin in association with Gloucester Round Table and Gloucester Quays.

At the Victoria Basin site, there will be a fair, a spectacular fireworks and laser light display with a small road show playing music. We will employ a large public address (PA) system to ensure that we can make safety announcements to the public as required. The PA system will also be used to relay the music that the display is set to. Our official media partner Heart FM will be onsite, with Warren Moore in attendance and the Heart Angels. Food and refreshments will be available on site.

We have consistently received good reviews for our display and as our regular visitors will confirm, the evening offers an excellent setting to enjoy a superb display which is professionally run.

Look out for the lasers which will be projecting images, messages and animations onto the sides of the various buildings around Victoria Dock.
The effects include cones, flat scans, lissajour patterns, point modes and single beam sequences and will be coreographed with the fireworks for the main spectacular firework display.

The music and radio road show will be played live, through a larger sound system than previous years. This will enable the main audience areas to hear the music. Please note that the laser system effects, the lighting effects and the sound system are being designed, so that the best experience for any one viewing the show(s) will be in the designated viewing areas. Any one watching the display outside these areas will not see or even possibly here the whole show being planned for this years’ event.

Please visit Laser Hire Ltd’s website at http://www.laserhire.co.uk/
and play the video on the home page to see some of our past shows and displays and to get a feel of the type of effects that will be used at this years’ event.

The fireworks display is a fund raising event with proceeds being put to good use in the local community, supporting local charities and worthy causes. Run by volunteers, the aim of the display is to provide the City of Gloucester with a safe and exciting fireworks display, second to none in the locality, to help local charities like The Family Haven http://www.thefamilyhaven.com/ and to boost the local economy by bringing visitors into the Docks.

We would be delighted if you could join us in Victoria Basin to watch the display with the crowd. It will be bigger and better than ever before!
