From 13-16 July 2011 Gloucester Cathedral will be filled with spectacular floral arrangements celebrating the famous people, products and events of Gloucestershire.
A magnificent floral carpet stretching the length of the Nave will be the centrepiece of the display. Parishes from the diocese of Gloucester will provide many of the displays.
Stalls selling plants, crafts and all kinds of garden delights will provide an exclusive shopping experience in the Cathedral's magnificent cloisters, made famous around the world by the Harry Potter films.
There are also a series of special events, including talks, demonstrations and music at a glittering Gala Dinner in the Nave surrounded by flowers.

Preview Evening - A chance to explore the Festival before the crowds at an exclusive reception with drinks and canapés. Limited tickets.

Cotswold Life Gala Dinner - A magnificent three course dinner in the spectacular surroundings of the flower filled Nave. Limited tickets.

Anne Chambers - A year at Kiftsgate Gardens - Created by three generations of women gardeners, Kiftsgate Court Gardens are a plantsman's delight. Anne Chambers gives a fascinating insight into the history of this glorious Gloucestershire garden.

Adam Henson - Countryfile presenter Adam Henson is an expert in rare breed conservation and runs the renowned Cotswold Farm Park. With a wealth of experience in farming, Adam is highly sought after for TV, radio and public speaking. He is currently writing his book - Adam's Farm.

Katherine Kear - Rosabundance - Gloucestershire's answer to Joyce Grenfell will give a flower arranging demonstration filled with humour and repartee. Katherine Kear has over 30 years experience as a demonstrator, stylist, designer, tutor, folklorist and florist extraordinaire.

Elluned Pierce - A glimpse of Heaven - Beautiful harp music, flowers and candles are all set against the glorious Great East Window of Gloucester Cathedral will surely make this concert a glimpse of heaven. Eluned Pierce is one of the UK's leading harpists and performs with many orchestras, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Ticket price includes a glass of sparkling wine.

Blooming Kids - Creative craft on a floral theme for families. Follow the flower trail around the Cathedral and collect petals to make a souvenir badge to take home with you. Decorate a flower pot, design a funky flower and much more. Activities for all ages. Please not children must be accompanied by an adult.

Festal Evensong in honour of the 75th anniversary of the friends of Gloucester Cathedral. The celebrated Glevum Consort will sing for our thanksgiving service of Evensong. All are welcome to attend.
The general opening hours of the main displays and stalls are from 10am- 5pm and ticket prices are as follows:
Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th and Friday 15th: £7.50
Saturday 16th: £5.00
Entrance tickets cover admission to the floral displays and stalls and include a free programme. Accompanied children under 16 are free (up to 2 per paying adult).

From the North: Get off the M5 at Junction 11, at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A40 (signposted Gloucester/Cirencester). At Elmbridge Court roundabout take the 4th exit (signposted Ross). At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A38 and then at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A417 (St. Oswald's Road). At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A417. Keep left around Westgate Island and take the first left into Westgate Street. For the closest car park take the first left into the car park. Walk out of the car park and turn left, walk up Westgate Street. After a short walk, turn left in to College Street and into the Cathedral Grounds.
From the South: Get off the M5 at Junction 12, at the roundabout take the first exit onto the B4008. At the Cross Keys roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A38. At the next roundabout continue forward. At the traffic lights continue forward (stay in the left hand lane, signposted Ross) onto the A430, Secunda Way. Continue forward on this by pass until you come to a roundabout, stay in the left hand lane and take the 2nd exit (on to Hempstead Lane). Follow the road until you arrive at a T Junction. At the T Junction turn right. Keep in the right hand lane and take the exit at the roundabout. Immediately take the exit left into Westgate Street. Take the 1st left into the car park. This is the closest car park to the Cathedral. Walk out of the car park and turn left, walk up Westgate Street. After a short walk, just after the begining of the pedestrianised are turn left in to College Street and in to the Cathedral grounds.
Public Transport Directions
Short stroll from Gloucester Bus and Train Station. From the Train Station, cross Bruton Way and walk into the Bus Station. Walk through the archway in the Bus Station and out on to Station Road. Continue forward into Clarence Street, at the end turn right into Eastgate Street. At the pedestrianised cross road continue forward into Westgate Street. After a short walk, turn right down College Court and in to the Cathedral grounds.
