The next time you take a holiday or day trip to Gloucester, Go Green!

Gloucester is becoming the green centre of the Cotswolds with a range of green accredited businesses including attractions, accommodation and visitor services.
With acres of unspoilt countryside and parks dotted around Gloucester, it is the perfect place to relax and take in the fresh air. Getting to Gloucester is easy by train and bus.

Step out in Gloucester

Explore the City by foot by taking a guided tour in the Summer months with a civic trust guided tour or by following the self walk Via Sacra Guide. New audio trails will also be available from St Michaels Tower and Gloucester Tourist Information Centre.

Take part in the Glevum Way, a 26 mile circular walk around Gloucester. The route is divided into 5 sections so that public transport can be used to reach the start of each section.

The Severn Way is the longest riverside walk in Britain, which follows the river from its source in the Plynlimon Mountains to the Bristol Channel. For all those keen walkers you can enjoy other famous walks travelling through Gloucester including the Gloucestershire Way, Three Choirs Way and the Wysis Way.
