Gloucester's First "Cotswold Midnight Walk"
Gloucester's First "Cotswold Midnight Walk"
16th August 2010
Hundreds of women will step out in Gloucester on September 3 for the city's first Cotswold Midnight Walk.
More than 500 ladies have signed up so far for the 10-mile midnight walk.
The walk begins and ends at the University of Gloucestershire's Oxstalls campus. Women can enjoy a disco and special treats before setting off at midnight and return to breakfast.
Women can sign up for the walk by logging on to www.fancyagirlsnightout.co.uk
Scores of men are also needed to volunteer as marshals to keep the ladies safe along the way.
All money raised from the event will support Cotswold Care Hospice. Every year the charity helps more than 500 people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. All of its services are provided free of charge.
It costs £2.1 million a year to run the hospice. The charity receives less than 10 per cent of that funding from the Government.
