Local Swing and Blues Duo Ain’t Misbehavin’ will be appearing at the next Oliver Cromwell Showboat on Saturday, 28th August in Gloucester Docks – and tables at this dinner dance night are available at the new special offer price of ONLY £16.50pp, including a three-course dinner.
Ain’t Misbehavin’ are regulars on the Paddle Wheeler. Multi-instrumentalists Diane and Tony play swing, jazz, latin and blues on a vast range of instruments – and both sing.
The band’s huge repertoire includes classic swing and jazz numbers from all the greats — like Glenn Miller’s Chattanooga Choo Choo, ‘Rat Pack’ numbers like ‘New York New York’, ‘Mack the Knife’ and ‘Come Fly with Me’ plus Latin /Salsa numbers such as The Girl from Ipanema, Desafinado and even some Dixieland ‘Trad- Jazz’
Great to listen to and entertaining to watch , Ain’t Misbehavin’ always create a terrific atmosphere aboard the Oliver Cromwell and usually get most of the audience onto the dance-floor by the end of the evening!
The evening starts when the bar opens at 7.00pm and if it’s warm and dry outside you can go up to the top deck of the boat to enjoy a drink with the best view in the Docks. From 7.30pm, a delicious 3-course set dinner will be served in the saloon, where there is also a well-stocked licensed bar to keep you refreshed right through the evening.
After dinner, the lights go down as Ain’t Misbehavin’ strike up. Sit back and relish the intimate atmosphere, exquisite vocals and foot-tapping tempo. The live show goes on through until 11pm. Guests for this Showboat Dinner Dance can be sure of a great evening of food, drink and entertainment.
