After the success of the 2009 Strolling in Gloucestershire walking festival we are pleased to announce that the event will run in 2010 over the whole month of July. The walking festival is to be co-ordinated by the local authorities in Gloucestershire with an aim to raise the profile of walking around the county.
Many of the festival walks are part of the Walking for Health initiative, which encourages people, particularly those who take little exercise, to do regular short walks in their communities. All the districts already have well-established schedules of regular health walks.
