A Night on Broadway at Gloucester Guildhall
A Night on Broadway at Gloucester Guildhall
8th April 2010
Following on from a sell-out performance of Scrooge at Christmas, G.O.D.S are back at Gloucester Guildhall with a bang this April with an evening of Broadway's best show tunes, old and new. ' A Night on Broadway' , features a ' Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' cast of all round performers and dancers that are ' Defying Gravity '. Get ready for a night full of ' Razzle Dazzle' and toe tapping 'Broadway Rhythm' that is ' Practically Perfect ' in every way!
With a cast of local people, having warmed up their voices and bodies, the G.O.D.S are waiting in the wings to create a fantastic night out for all. The show incorporates numbers from shows such as 'Singing in the Rain', 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', 'Wicked' and more - there is sure to be something for everyone, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
Debut Director William Browne says
'It's a fantastic show with an incredible amount of energy. We as a society are thrilled to be working in collaboration with Gloucester's Guildhall again and this partnership allows us to give the audience an incredible experience that they can take away with them'.
To celebrate this new event, the final performance of A Night On Broadway on Saturday 17th April will be a little bit special. We are bringing out the red carpet (yes, there really will be a red carpet) and turning the cinema into a luxurious Manhattan-style cocktail bar. To complete your experience, professional cocktail bartenders will be on hand, a lounge pianist will be putting our grand piano through it's paces and the dress code will be Black Tie. So get your glad rags on and come and join us for a night of glamorous gowns, contemporary cocktails and a spot of musical theatre darling!
G.O.D.S chairman, Rowena Davis said "to bring a Broadway Revue Show involving local people to the local community puts the G.O.D.S directly in the limelight for a show that promises to be a fantastic night out for all the family".
Rowena added "The G.O.D.S have always delivered a very memorable show and I am really excited to see such a brilliant show being shown in association with Gloucester Guildhall".
