29th March 2010
Gloucester Guildhall Presents The Big Laugh Comedy Club
The Big Laugh combines the world's best stand-up comics, table seating, drinks offers, a late bar, a hot food menu, and is well known for being one of the best Saturday nights out in the County. This month featuring special guest comics Angelos, Parrott and Mike Wilmott.

Angelos Biography
Angelos Epithemiou is an award winning burger van owner who doesn't like to tell anyone where his burger van is because as he puts it, "I don't want no joyriders comin round tryin to nick my generator like they done with my tyres.I haven't got money to burn, although I did throw a tenner on a bonfire once but that wasn't work related."
Angelos met Bob Mortimer on Shooting Stars when Bob presented him with his award for Mobile Caterer of the Year. Angelos said of meeting Bob, "This fella gave me this award, what was long overdue in my opinion, and then we was talking and he said come on the telly, and I said no. Then he said, why not, and I said I dunno, then he asked me again and I said, alright."
Parrott Biography
Founder member of Scotland's ground-breaking comedy collective, The Funny Farm, Parrot has long perched on the shoulder of decency, shouting in its ear with his slightly-skewed invective and dark view of the world. One of stand-up comedy's great mavericks, Parrot has garnered much praise as he ploughed a furrow for others to follow; an early pioneer from the days when alternative comedy was a vast, unexplored frontier.
Since then, Parrot has performed highly-acclaimed solo shows at five Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, headlined at some of the biggest comedy clubs across the UK - including The Stand, Jongleurs and the Comedy Store in London.
Mike Wilmott Biography
Since making a massive impact in Britain, Canadian comic Mike Wilmot has gone on to make a name for himself all around the world. His intelligent adult style humour of relationships and sex are enjoyed by women and men alike.
Mike's effortlessly funny style is a fast-paced, hard-hitting comedic look at everyday life. His comedy targets very widely, from diets, kids - to American-Canadian backbiting and his fondness for beer...
''The highlight was Mike Wilmot, a fast talking stand-up whose close-to-the-bone repertoire leaves the audience in a state of hilarity that most comedians can only dream of.'' THE SUNDAY TIMES
