Buggy Fit hits Gloucester
Buggy Fit hits Gloucester
28th March 2010
The latest craze for mums of small children has hit Gloucester - Buggy Fit.
New classes have been sponsored by the Sports Development team at Gloucester City Council suitable for all fitness levels. For those who ran until they went into labor, or for those who haven't exercised for years.
Classes begin with a warm-up followed by a brisk walk to raise the heart rate, allowing any latecomers to join in as they arrive, as getting out of the door with a baby is never easy.
Activities in the class vary, and include toning and strengthening exercises for the upper and lower body using bands, games, boxing - a great stress reliever and a real favorite, abdominal work to tone up wobbly tummies or step-ups.
The class finishes with a cool-down and stretch session.
Classes currently take place on Mondays at Barnwood Park, Barnwood from 1.45-2.45 and Thursdays at the clock tower park in Abbeydale from 11.30 - 12.30.
Those taking part can pay as they go, priced at £6 per session or sign up for a discounted 6 or 8-session pass, as well as a two-month unlimited pass.
All instructors are qualified post-natal specialists, insured and first aid trained.
