Gloucester Guildhall is proud to present Cerys Matthews
28th January 2010
With a list of top acts already booked for 2010 Gloucester Guildhall are building on success of 2009. The latest name to be confirmed is Cerys Matthews of Catatonia fame, who will be performing with her band on Sunday 11th April, as part of a full UK tour supporting the released of her new single Into the blue.
Cerys has had two number one albums, lots of top five hit singles, has appeared on 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' and completed a sell out tour in 2009.
Currently working as a presenter on 6Music, her latest album 'Don't Look Down' came out last year, with both an English and Welsh language version.
The Welsh star has kept herself busy since splitting from Catatonia in 2001, having made two solo albums, toured the UK and Ireland extensively, played at all major UK festivals, won the first Welsh 'Contemporary Composition' award given since1936, dueted with Tom Jones, The Cardigans and The Manic Street Preachers amongst others, and presented several shows on BBC 6 Music before being given her own show Cerys on 6 in May 2009.
