Pilgrim's Pie Deadline Approaching
Pilgrim's Pie Deadline Approaching
19th January 2010
There is only one week left for food producers in the South West to
enter Gloucester Cathedral's Pilgrim's Pie competition.
Gloucester Cathedral is on the search for the best pie-maker in the
West.
It is launching a competition to find an exclusive "Pilgrim's Pie" made
from some of Gloucestershire's finest local produce.
The recipe will be created by the producers themselves and can feature
locally produced meat, eggs, cheese or vegetables.
"So far we have had lots of interest," said spokesperson Bairbre Lloyd,
"there are some wonderful producers out there who have said they will
take part. It all looks very promising and we are looking forward to an
excellent response."
She added: "We want to make sure that as many producers as possible know
about this opportunity to work with Gloucestershire's foremost tourist
attraction."
