The Place, the café-bar at Gloucester Guildhall provides a friendly atmosphere and some of the best home-cooked food in the city centre. The wooden finish of the café’s decoration echoes that of the Guildhall’s cinema, which was the Council’s debating chamber in years gone by. The range of food on offer caters for the most discerning of palettes from freshly baked cakes and flapjacks through to soups, chillis and lasagnes. The staff are also more than happy to work to any dietary requirements you may have. The Place has a large selection of Vegetarian food available, and there are also Vegan and Gluten free foods on offer. The kitchen at the Guildhall holds a five-star food hygiene certificate.
If you are hosting an event at the Guildhall such as a conference or wedding reception, our catering staff are on hand to ensure that every aspect is taken care of, and we provide full conference and banquet catering services.
Alternatively, if you are hosting an event elsewhere and require commercial caterers, we are also more than happy to bring our expertise to you. Full details about our catering hire service can be found on the Gloucester Guildhall web site. In the last 12 months, our staff have catered for a wide range of local events from Rotary dinners, to festivals including Gloucester Festival in the Park and the Gloucester Motorcycle Festival.
