The Cotswolds
If you’ve visited before – or if you’re planning a visit for the first time – remember, the Cotswolds occupies an area larger than a few villages. The area in the north of the Cotswolds includes villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Winchcombe and Chipping Campden; whilst to the South, the area has a slightly wilder nature, especially in the beautiful five valleys around Stroud.

Whether you are planning to visit Gloucester for a day or longer, the Forest of Dean is only a stone’s throw from the city of Gloucester. One of England's few remaining ancient forests. Cheltenham Spa is home to an excellent festivals programme including the excellent Cheltenham Gold Cup, spectacular regency architecture and excellent shopping. Only a short bus or train journy away from Gloucester it is an excellent day out from the city.
