The Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall is a classically styled Regency Manor House built in 1770 set in 12 acres of stunning parkland surrounded by beautiful Cotswolds countryside and yet only three miles from the centre of Gloucester. Bowden Hall is proud of its distinguished Summit Conference brand with six highly flexible areas for up to 120 delegates and free wi fi in all rooms and the full support of a dedicated event host who can be called at the press of a button!
The largest event room, the Lakeside suite is on the ground floor with easy access for exhibitions and holds up to 120 theatre style with its own break out, reception area and dedicated front entrance.
In the main building the Ambassador and Congress rooms can accommodate 80 and 40 theatre style respectively both have glorious views and full black out as required !
To compliment the conference areas the Boardroom offers executive meeting or private dining for 12 guests, all conference rooms are fully air conditioned
Externally the grounds are perfect for team building with lawns at the front sweeping down to the hotels lake and locally the range of activity is endless from clay pigeon to Quads and more , not to mention Golf & Ski at our nearby sister hotel (2 miles).
There are numerous local walks to enjoy with maps provided, as well as coats & wellies. Indoor games include Scalextric and short mat bowls. Outdoors, there’s croquet on the lawn and so much more on offer here at Bowden Hall

Dearmans restaurant offering simple but high quality food is named after Major Dearman Birchall, a cotton merchant and former owner of the house and a major in the Gloucester Hussars. With an extensive room service or bar menu there will be something to suit all tastes.

Public Transport Directions
From Gloucester city centre, Bowden Hall is approximately 3 miles away. You need to catch the number 5 Stagecoach service from Market Parade which is just outside the main bus station. The bus will take you to Upton St. Leonards where you will be dropped off where you then have a 1/2 mile walk to Bowden Hall.
